European Job Days: 15 years of connecting talent and opportunity across Europe

Imagine if finding the right match were only a click away, whether you're looking for your next dream job or searching for skilled workers for your company. Since 2011, European Job Days (EJDs) have been turning this vision into reality, acting as a bridge between talent and career opportunities throughout Europe.

To celebrate 15 years of connecting jobseekers and employers across Europe, EURES is launching the 'Join the European Job Days' campaign from now until Christmas 2026. This campaign will highlight how EJDs can support you, making it the perfect time to explore everything the service offers.

EJDs offer more than just recruitment events, they're a public service platform supporting fair job hire across Europe. In an era of acute skills shortages and a rapidly changing labour market, the platform offers a unique solution. Run by the EURES network and supported by the European Labour Authority (ELA) and the European Commission, it combines the digital efficiency of a platform with the human touch of expert career advisers.

The numbers speak for themselves. Over the past 15 years, more than 400 000 jobseekers have taken part in 364 EJD events, engaging with 14 000 employers from 32 countries across Europe. Participation in these events has led to 25 000 job vacancies being posted, and has generated an impressive 250 000 applications. The EJD platform brings together opportunities across a wide range of sectors, including IT, healthcare, tourism, construction, and more.

For jobseekers, it's your passport to Europe

Are you curious about working abroad? Do you dream of working in Berlin's vibrant tech scene, Copenhagen's renewable energy sector, or Madrid's hospitality industry? EJDs make this possible.

The platform is free to use, safe and secure. Recruitment events aren't only available on site - you can 'attend' any recruitment event, browse thousands of verified vacancies and even interview with employers online, from the comfort of your own home. If you're unsure of the process, don't worry - the platform offers video tutorials on how to register, apply for a job, schedule interviews and chat with employers.

For employers, your treasure trove of talent

Struggling to fill a critical role? In many sectors, suitable local candidates can be difficult to find. EJDs offer you free access to a diverse pool of candidates from all over Europe. You can post vacancies, browse a database of CVs and engage with jobseekers who are genuinely motivated to relocate for work abroad.

The platform also supports fair and transparent hiring, helping you find candidates who not only have the right skills, but also fit your company culture. From seasonal workers to senior professionals, EJDs make it easier for you to connect with the broad talent Europe has to offer.

As Cosmin Boiangiu, ELA Executive Director, recently said: "For 15 years, European Job Days events have changed the lives of so many jobseekers and improved skills matching for thousands of companies, just at the tip of a finger. It is online trans-European recruitment made easy and fair!"
