Hiding end screens: What YouTube creators need to know

We've all been there-you're enjoying a video, but then the end screens pop up and cover up something important. Instead of getting frustrated and clicking away, you can now make the end screens go away:

• Hit the Hide button to dismiss all the end screens for the current video

Change your mind and want to see them again?

• Hit the Show button to bring the end screen back.

For Creators: Hide only dismisses the end screen for that video, that time - not all videos, all the time. But, it's a reminder that the best practices are the best practices.

• Design end screens and calls-to-action as part of the overall video experience
• Make sure the overlays don't cover crucial visuals your audience wants to see.

The goal is to make your end screens so engaging that viewers want to click on them, not click to hide them!
