C.W. Sellors Acquired Out of Administration by New Ownership Group

18 Mar 2026

The core trading business of C.W. Sellors, one of the UK's most respected independent jewellery and watch retailers and owner of Jura Watches and W. Hamond, has been acquired out of administration by a newly formed ownership group combining external investment with the company's existing leadership team.

Founded in 1979, C.W. Sellors has built a strong reputation over more than four decades for championing British jewellery craftsmanship and design, while also developing a strong presence in luxury timepieces through its retail boutiques and Jura Watches platform.

The new ownership structure brings together investor Stuart Hennell, who will serve as Non-Executive Chairman, alongside Antony Lindsay, who becomes Chief Executive Officer, Rebecca Sellors, as Managing Director, and Alan Lloyd, who remains Finance Director.

Stuart Hennell previously co-founded the luxury watch platform Watchfinder, building it into one of the world's leading, pre-owned watch retailers before its sale to Richemont, the global luxury group and owner of brands including Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels and IWC Schaffhausen.

Antony Lindsay brings nearly three decades of experience in the jewellery and watch industry, most recently serving as Chief Executive Officer of Fabergé. Throughout his career he has worked across luxury brand development, international retail and the global watch and jewellery market.

Rebecca Sellors, a member of the founding family, will continue to play a central role in the leadership of the business, ensuring the values and principles that have shaped C.W. Sellors for nearly half a century remain at the heart of the company as it enters its next phase.

Alan Lloyd, who has served as Finance Director of C.W. Sellors, will continue to oversee the financial operations of the business as the company begins its next chapter.

The leadership team will focus on stabilising the business following the recent administration process while rebuilding customer confidence and strengthening both the retail and online channels.

As the acquisition secures the continuation of one of the UK's best-known independent jewellery and watch businesses, the leadership team is now focused on reinforcing the brand's foundations and revitalizing both in-store and digital shopping experiences.

Customers can continue to visit their favourite boutiques in Derbyshire, Shropshire, and Yorkshire, or shop online via cwsellors.co.uk, whamond.com, and jurawatches.co.uk, as all retail and workshop operations remain open.

Antony Lindsay, Chief Executive Officer, said,

"C.W. Sellors is a well-established British jewellery and watch business with strong foundations and a loyal customer base. Our focus now is on developing the business further while preserving the craftsmanship, expertise and customers relationships that have defined the brand for almost half a century".

Stuart Hennell, Non-Executive Chairman, said,

"What attracted me here is the combination of an established retail business and a digital platform with real underlying strength. With the right execution, there is clear potential to build something very compelling."

Further updates regarding the company's future plans will be shared in due course.
