CTDOT is announcing the rehabilitation of bridge carrying Route 130 (Stratford Ave) over Pequonnock River in Bridgeport from Friday at 10:00 p.m. to Monday at 5:00 a.m. starting June 5, 2026.

CTDOT Project No. 0015-0339 was awarded to Mohawk Northeast, Inc. at a cost of $38,988,223.20 on November 26, 2024, and is scheduled to be completed on November 30, 2026. This project is administered by the Bureau of Engineering and Construction, Office of Construction, District 3 in the City of New Haven.

LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO

Route 130 (Stratford Avenue) will be fully closed, across Bridge 02475, from the intersection of Stratford Avenue/Kossuth Street on the east side, to the intersection of Water Street/Fairfield Avenue/Route 130 (Stratford Avenue) on the west.

There will be weekend closures will occur on the following dates:

• June 5 to June 8, 2026
• June 12 to June 15, 2026
• June 19 to June 22, 2026
• June 26 to June 29, 2026
• July 10 to July 13, 2026

The scheduled time for each closure will be from Fridays at 10:00 p.m until Monday no later than 5:00 a.m.

Inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances could cause cancellations of a weekend road closure, any changes to this schedule will be communicated in a timely manner.

Vehicle and Pedestrian Detours will be in place for the duration of the closure.

Pedestrians can follow the Pedestrian Detour or utilize a Taxi Service provided by the project.

At Intersection of Water Street/Fairfield Avenue/Route 130 (Stratford Avenue)

Head West on Fairfield Avenue

Take left onto LaFayette Circle then right onto Lafayette Blvd. heading south

Take left onto I95 NB on ramp

Take exit 28 and head south on E. Main St

Arrive at Intersection of Route 130 (Stratford Avenue) and E. Main St.

Route 130 (Stratford) Avenue Eastbound - Alternate

At Intersection of Water Street/Fairfield Avenue/Route 130 (Stratford Avenue)

Head south on Water Street and merge onto N. Frontage Street

Take a left onto Lafayette Blvd. heading south

Take left onto I95 NB on ramp

Take exit 28 and head south on E. Main St

Arrive at Intersection of Route 130 (Stratford Avenue) and E. Main St.

Route 130 (Stratford Avenue) Westbound

At Intersection of Route 130 (Stratford Avenue)/E. Main St.

Head north on E. Main Street

Take left onto I95 SB on ramp

Take exit 27C and merge onto Lafayette Blvd. heading north

Take right onto State Street heading west

Take left onto Water Street heading north.

Arrive at Intersection of Water Street/Fairfield Avenue/Route 130 (Stratford Avenue)

Head north on Water Street and continue onto Housatonic Avenue

Take right onto E. Washington Avenue heading east

Take right onto Noble Avenue heading south

Take right onto Crescent Avenue heading west

Take left onto Noble Avenue heading south

Take left onto Pulaski Street heading east

Take right onto Kossuth Street heading south

Arrive at intersection of Stratford Ave/Kossuth St

Pedestrian Detour Westbound

At intersection of Stratford Ave/Kossuth St

Head north on Kossuth Street.

Take left onto Pulaski Street heading west

Take right onto Noble Avenue heading north

Take right onto Crescent Avenue heading east

Take left onto Noble Avenue heading north

Take left onto E. Washington Avenue heading west

Take left onto Housatonic Ave and continue onto Water Street heading south

Arrive at Intersection of Water Street/Fairfield Avenue/Route 130 (Stratford Avenue)
