TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the appointment of Alexandra O'Brien, Lidia Martinez, and Stacey Reed and the reappointment of Tanya Kraus to the Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, and Mental Health Counseling.
Alexandra O'Brien
O'Brien is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Tallahassee Counseling and Consulting. Active in her community, she is a member of the Association for Play Therapy and previously served as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Camelot Community Cares and PlayBig Therapy and Learning Center. O'Brien earned her bachelor's and master's degrees in social work from Florida State University.
Lidia Martinez, PhD
Martinez is a Mental Health Counselor in Private Practice. She also serves as part-time Core Faculty at Nova Southeastern University's Department of Counseling. Martinez earned her bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Miami and her master's degree and doctorate in counseling from Nova Southeastern University.
Stacey Reed
Reed is the Executive Director for Lauren's Legacy Pregnancy Center. Active in her community, she previously served as a Regional Outreach Director for Destiny Worship Center. Reed earned her bachelor's degree from the University of West Florida and her master's degree from the University of Alabama.
Tanya Kraus
Kraus is a Social Services Manager for Broward Health Medical Center. She has served as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker through the Florida Department of Health since 2015. Kraus earned her bachelor's degree in psychology and her master's degree in social work from Florida International University.
These appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
