Whether it's for your favorite musical act, your favorite dancer or your favorite housemate (or island mate, in some cases), TV viewers like you have been voting for decades. The same is true on Netflix, where our members have been able to show love for their favorite series, movies and specials through ratings like thumbs for more than ten years.

Now, we're introducing real-time voting, a new way to be a part of the live events you love. When you tune in live for select titles like Star Search , premiering today at 6pm PT/9pm ET, you'll be able to use this interactive feature to place your vote alongside millions of others as the episode unfolds around the world.

Real-time voting is only available while watching select live events. If you're watching on TV or a streaming device, vote using your remote. Or tap the screen if you're watching on our mobile app. Real-time voting is not available while watching on web browsers so make sure you have your TV or phone ready before you press play. We first began testing an early version of this experience on Dinner Time Live with David Chang , and learned firsthand how members appreciated the seamless and integrated ways they could participate in the series.
