Minister of Foreign Affairs met with Thai and foreign media in Meet the Press #2 event

On 19 September, H.E. Mr. Maris Sangiampongsa, Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Thai and foreign media in Meet the Press #2 event at Buakaew Room where more than 100 media attending in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

The Foreign Minister delivered his remarks on MFA's diplomacy for the people and proactive economic diplomacy that place people at the center, which the new government has continued from the previous administration. Key examples of immediate policies are (1) addressing transboundary issues, e.g. drugs, water management along Mekong river, call center scam, PM2.5 and transnational organized crime (2) introducting Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) to attract high-skilled foreigners to stay, work, or have medical treatment in Thailand (3) promoting Thailand's Soft Power through various channel, e.g. Thai Festival abroad (4) assisting Thai citizens abroad, and (5) promoting peace and common prosperity.
