Bynum Wraps Up 10 Town Hall ‘Give ‘Em Hell Tour’ Across Oregon’s Fifth

Washington, DC - Last weekend, Congresswoman Janelle Bynum (OR-05) wrapped up her 10-stop Give 'Em Hell Tourin Silverton, Oregon. Rep. Bynum traveled over 450 milesacross Oregon's Fifth Congressional District, reaching over 42,000 constituentsover the course of the 10 town halls.

Rep. Bynum visited Multnomah, Clackamas, Marion, Linn, and Deschutes Counties for seven in-person town halls and hosted three open-to-all telephone town halls. Since being elected to Congress, Rep. Bynum has hosted 17 town halls.

"If this President thinks he can get away with cutting the programs and services we rely on, weaponizing the government against us, and pitting Americans against Americans, he's got another thing coming," said Rep. Bynum. "While Republicans are trying to run and hide after cutting their constituents' health care, I'm getting out in my community and hearing their stories. I'm proud we were able to reach over 40,000 Oregonians on the tour and I'm bringing their stories back to Washington with me to continue to give 'em hell."

Yesterday, Rep. Bynum delivered a speech on the House Floor recapping her takeaways from the tour. In part, she said:

"Mr. Speaker, Mr. Speaker, Mr. Speaker, hear me when I say we will not back down - not on healthcare, not on costs, not on making our voices heard. And my message to Oregonians: I hear you and I got you."

"Rep. Janelle Bynum, D-Oregon, plans to hold meetings in big cities and small towns through Clackamas, Deschutes, Linn, Marion and Multnomah counties as part of her "Give 'Em Hell" tour. She described it as an effort to connect with constituents of Oregon's 5th Congressional District and fight back against the Trump administration.

"Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and the rest of this administration are making life more expensive, tanking our economy, and ripping away key programs that we rely on, all while dismantling the foundations of our country in the process," Bynumsaid in a statement. "We can't let that happen. I'm traveling across my district to turn up the heat on Donald Trump and Republicans - they will hear our stories and they will feel our outrage. Let's give 'em hell Oregon!"
