Update on cold-case homicide investigation

Investigators are continuing to pursue leads regarding the murder of Astrid Bridges. On July 2, 1993, officers and medical personnel responded to a call from her husband, John Bridges, who reported finding Astrid Bridges unresponsive just outside their SW Overlook Court home.

Over the past several weeks, detectives from the Gresham Police Department travelled to John Bridges' current residence in Missouri, where they conducted interviews and served a search warrant.

Gresham investigators have been in contact with detectives from the Louisville Metro Police Department in Kentucky. The LMPD is investigating the 1972 death of John Bridges' first wife, Joyce "Mable" Bridges. Mable Bridges' death was also previously classified as accidental and subsequently determined to be a homicide.

Anyone with information regarding Astrid Bridges death is asked to contact Detective Tyson Conroy at [email protected].
