Have you ever seen someone open a fire hydrant that wasn't a West Jordan City-marked truck, or a fire fighter?
Contractors and construction companies can get permits to use water from hydrants for projects. This gives them easy access to water, and brings money to the City.
What do they use it for?
Do they have to pay for it? Yes!
You may not be able to tell if they have permission when you look at them, but everyone who uses water from a fire hydrant needs a permit.
