Deadline extended for Hayward Sesquicentennial art exhibition submissions

The Hayward Arts Council and Hayward Area Historical Society have extended the deadline for submitting works of art for inclusion in an upcoming special exhibition Celebrating Hayward's 150th Anniversary.

This visual art exhibit is specifically open to artist interpretations of the 150 years of Hayward history since the City' incorporation by the State of California on March 11, 1876.

The deadline for submissions is Feb. 26.

Once assembled, the works will be displayed at the Hayward Area Historical Society, 22380 Foothill Boulevard, and later move to the Hayward Public Library Gallery, 888 C Street.
