JOHNSON COUNTY - Crews will be conducting lane closures on Missouri Highway 23 between U.S. Highway 50 and approximately 0.75 miles north of Irish Ln. beginning on Monday, April 13 for permit work, including the addition of turn lanes. Northbound and southbound traffic will remain open but lanes will be shifted for the construction. The project is expected to be completed in Sept. 2026. All work is weather permitting.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can also be short-term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
