Simpson Plaza will close tonight, and Coleman Blvd. will close Saturday for a special event.

(April 25, 2025) Several streets within Frisco Square will be closed tonight, April 25, with additional closures beginning Saturday morning, April 26, for a special event. All roads will reopen by 10 p.m. Saturday. The attached map shows specific road closures and details for this weekend's special event in Frisco Square. See attached map (PDF).

Friday, April 25

• 7 a.m.: Most parking spaces in Simpson Plaza will be blocked for event setup.
• 6 p.m.: Roads around Simpson Plaza will be closed and remain closed through Saturday.

Saturday, April 26

• 6 a.m.: Coleman Blvd., the main entrance to Frisco Square, will be closed.
• 10 p.m.: All roads will reopen.

Starting Friday evening, traffic cannot enter or go around most of the plaza. Only traffic from the west may turn right at the plaza to access the municipal parking garage. There will be no vehicle access to the front of City Hall during this time, and the building will remain closed. On Saturday morning, vehicles will not be able to drive in front of businesses on Coleman Blvd. However, drivers can access parking behind those buildings using alternate driveways from Main St. During the closures, Frisco Square residents, business customers, and event attendees should follow detour routes. Please use World Cup Way, Frisco St., or driveways along Main St. to access parking behind Frisco Square businesses if you are:

• Attending the special event.
• Visiting businesses along Coleman Blvd.
• A resident who lives north of the plaza.

Parking:

• Free parking is available in two public garages. Drivers may access these garages by turning onto World Cup Way from Main St. or using northbound Dallas Pkwy. or John W. Elliott Dr. to reach Page St. behind the municipal parking garage.

Customers of Pizzeria Testa should use World Cup Way or NB Dallas Pkwy. to reach Frisco Square Blvd. and access the restaurant. Customers may also park in the municipal parking garage.
