2026-2027 Cooperative Agriculture Opportunity at Cross Creeks National Wildlife Refuge

Agricultural crops are rich in carbohydrates and help waterfowl maintain body temperature during cold weather periods and replenish energy used during migration. Each year Cross Creeks NWR provides high energy "hot" foods in the form of suitable crops to support waterfowl in the Cumberland River watershed.

The southern portion of Cross Creeks NWR near Dover, TN and Cumberland City, TN contains approximately 757 acres of farmable land. Producers may farm these units on a 75%-25% share with the producer retaining 568 acres and 189 acres left standing for the refuge share.
