NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ (June 15, 2025) - New Brunswick is gearing up for its Juneteenth celebration with free events open to the public. All are encouraged to participate!
The festivities begin Thursday, June 19 at 4 p.m., with a Flag Raising, Mural Unveiling, and a Community Party at the New Brunswick Performing Arts Center, 11 Livingston Ave. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., a chalk mural will be created at Monument Square Park.
Then, on Saturday, June 21, come on out for the Juneteenth Parade and Freedom Festival. The parade begins at 11 a.m. at George Street and Remsen Avenue and ends at Recreation Park, located at 7 Pine St., where the festival will take place.
The event, free and open to all, happens from noon to 6 p.m. with food trucks, live music, activities for kids, and giveaways.
