Weather Advisory

The National Weather Service in Mobile has issued a Winter Storm Watch in effect 1/21 from 0600 CT until 1/22 at 0600 CT for the following counties: Okaloosa, Santa Rosa, Escambia. Heavy mixed precipitation possible. Total snow and sleet accumulations between 1 and 3 inches and ice accumulations around a light glaze possible. Plan on slippery road conditions, especially on bridges and overpasses. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday morning and evening commutes, as well as the commute on Wednesday - per Okaloosa County Board of County Commissioners Director of Public Safety Patrick Maddox.
