Principal Gwenyth Searer, a structural engineer in WJE's San Francisco office, was inducted into the Structural Engineers Association of California's (SEAOC) College of Fellows last month during the 2026 SEAOC Convention in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Election to the College of Fellows is SEAOC's highest individual honor, recognizing distinguished service to the association and outstanding contributions to structural engineering. The honor recognizes Gwenyth's significant and sustained contributions to the structural engineering profession, including her fervent efforts to improve codes and standards. Her expertise spans steel, concrete, timber, masonry, and aluminum construction, with a focus on building code development, facade access and cladding evaluation, and seismic analysis of damaged and existing structures. She is an active member of the American Institute of Steel Construction, the American Society of Civil Engineers, SEAOC, and the Structural Engineers Association of Northern California.
