The 2nd Street Bridge over Riverside Drive is closed indefinitely due to crash damage.
Georgia DOT engineers are planning repairs after an equipment truck hit the bridge. A state inspector determined the bridge beams require repair. Both eastbound and westbound lanes are closed, but Riverside Drive remains open under the bridge. Detours and signage are in place to assist drivers.
