Weekly Lane Closure Advisory for the Transform 285/400 Project

WHAT:
Weather permitting, Georgia Department of Transportation contractors will close lanes on I-285 eastbound and westbound and SR 400 northbound and southbound for construction activities. Travel restrictions include possible delays, reduced speeds, and detours in some areas.

WHEN/WHERE: Traffic Impacts on I-285 and SR 400 from January 13, through January 20, 2025

Daytime Closures:

Monday, January 13, through Tuesday, January 14, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • One, left lane on SR 400 southbound from Mount Vernon Highway to Hammond Drive
Overnight Closures:

Monday, January 13, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

SR 400 southbound to I-285 westbound

  • Motorists traveling on SR 400 southbound to I-285 westbound should use Exit 4B I-285 eastbound and Exit 29 Ashford Dunwoody Road to access I-285 westbound.
SR 400 northbound to I-285 westbound (Detour Map)
  • Motorists traveling on SR 400 northbound to I-285 westbound should use Exit 4A I-285 eastbound and Exit 29 Ashford Dunwoody Road to access I-285 westbound.
I-285 westbound to Roswell Road (Detour Map)
  • Motorists traveling on I-285 westbound to Roswell Road will use Exit 24 Riverside Drive and I-285 eastbound to access Exit 25 Roswell Road.
Tuesday, January 14, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

  • Motorists traveling on I-285 westbound to Ashford Dunwoody Road should use Exit 28 Peachtree Dunwoody Road and Lake Hearn Drive (road changes to Perimeter Center Parkway) to access Ashford Dunwoody Road.
  • Alternate Route: Motorists traveling on I-285 westbound to Ashford Dunwoody Road should use Exit 28 Peachtree Dunwoody Road and Hammond Drive to access Ashford Dunwoody Road.
