From Lost Memories to Found Love: Jung Hae-in and Ha-young Star in Upcoming Romcom Series 'Lovestuck'
A woman with no memories and a man claiming to be her lover find themselves stuck living together in a quaint village. What could possibly go wrong? This befuddling premise sets the stage for the upcoming original romcom series Lovestuck , now in production.
The story follows Go Eun-sae, a brilliant prosecutor who wakes up one day with amnesia. She meets Jang Tae-ha, a suspicious man who insists he's her boyfriend. Their unexpected living arrangement in a countryside village filled with traditional taffy shops kicks off a quirky, sweet, and irresistibly sticky love story.
Lovestuck marks the reunion of director Kim Jang-han ( Do You Like Brahms ?, My Demon ) and writer Mo Ji-hye ( You Raise Me Up) , who team up again after four years. The series stars the charming and romantic Jung Hae-in ( Something in the Rain, One Spring Night, Mom's Friend's Son ) and the beloved Ha-young ( The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call ) .
Jung Hae-in plays Jang Tae-ha, a former youth boxing champion who turned to the gang life, but now seeks redemption as a small-town boxing coach. On his final mission for the gang, he unexpectedly crosses paths with Eun-sae, his long-lost first love, who no longer remembers him. To protect her, he spins a lie that could change both their lives.
Ha-young stars as Go Eun-sae, an ambitious prosecutor known for being quick, clean, and clever. While tracking a crime syndicate, she's caught in an accident that wipes her memory. She wakes up in a rural clinic surrounded by taffy shops-and Tae-ha, claiming to be her boyfriend.
As Eun-sae stumbles through this new, sticky reality, she finds herself slowly drawn to Tae-ha's warmth. Ha-young captures the charm and vulnerability of a woman navigating her lost identity and an unexpected romance, making her rom-com lead debut one to watch.
Lovestuck will be available exclusively on Netflix.
