Tampa, FL. (October 3, 2026) - Tampa Police have arrested a man in connection to a deadly shooting that happened September 22, 2026 on Nebraska Ave near McEwen Ave.

On October 2, 2026, detectives conducted a neighborhood canvass passing out flyers with pictures of the suspect. As they went door-to-door, an individual identified Michael Knobloch (DOB:11/27/1989) as the suspect in the flyers. Shortly after Knobloch turned himself in to Orient Road Jail.

"I want to commend the work of our detectives who remained committed to getting justice for the victim's family," said Acting Chief Brett Owen. "Information provided by members of our community helped detectives identify the suspect, and we are grateful to everyone who assisted with this investigation. While nothing can bring their loved one back, we hope this arrest brings some sense of accountability as they grieve this loss."

Knobloch is now charged with Murder in the First-Degree Premediated Firearm- Great Bodily Harm/Death.
