Project to Make Improvements Along Route 7 in Henry, Benton Counties Focus of Public Meetings

Warsaw - The public is invited to participate in virtual (online) and in-person public meetings to learn more about plans to make traffic and safety improvements along Missouri Route 7 in Henry and Benton counties, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.

An in-person meeting will be held 4:30-6 p.m., Tuesday, February 3, at North Elementary School, 134 West Kosciusko Street in Warsaw. The meeting will be come-and-go style with an opportunity to speak with project staff. There will be no formal presentation given. The public is welcome to attend at any time during the meeting.

A virtual (online) meeting will be available beginning Tuesday, January 27 until Tuesday, February 3, and can be accessed through the project's website by clicking here.

The project will make safety and traffic flow improvements along Route 7 from just west of the Henry/Benton county line east to Benton County Route AA.

The estimated cost of the project is $3.4 million. Work is tentatively scheduled to begin in the fall of 2026 with completion in the spring of 2027.
