Chinese Ambassador to the Netherlands Shen Bo Attends Meeting with Local Overseas Chinese Community and Spring Festival Package Distribution Ceremony

On February 3, the Chinese Embassy in the Netherlands hosted 2026 "Embracing the Chinese New Year" meeting with local overseas Chinese community, along with a ceremony to distribute the Spring Festival packages. Chinese Ambassador to the Netherlands Shen Bo attended the event and delivered remarks. Approximately 30 representatives from the local Chinese community participated in the event.

Ambassador Shen Bo extended Chinese New Year greetings to overseas Chinese in the Netherlands, reviewed China's economic and social development achievements in 2025, and introduced the main content and significance of the proposed 15th Five-Year Plan. He encouraged local Chinese community to continue serving as a bridge and bond for bilateral exchanges. Ambassador Shen Bo reaffirmed that the Embassy will continue to uphold the principle of "practicing diplomacy for the people" and remain committed to providing attentive and dedicated services to Chinese nationals in the Netherlands.

The event was held in a warm and festive atmosphere. Ambassador Shen Bo presented the Spring Festival packages and took photos with all the representatives. The Spring Festival packages are jointly prepared by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council, the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office and Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese of Jiangsu Province, as well as the Embassy.

Participants expressed their appreciation for the Embassy's care and greetings, and pledged to continue making contributions to deepening friendly cooperation between China and the Netherlands.
