My Safety offers users:

• Protection beyond the home, designed for real life: My Safety extends ADT's trusted monitoring into everyday moments, right inside the ADT+ app.

• Support when you need it most: If you're alone or feeling uncomfortable, My Safety helps you discreetly connect with ADT's professional monitoring team for real-time support.

• Practical tools for uncomfortable situations: Use a call, text, safety timer, or an emergency phrase to signal you need help in the way that best fits the situation.

• One platform for protection at home and beyond: My Safety is built into the ADT+ app, so users don't need a separate personal safety app to add another layer of peace of mind.

Flexible safety on the go

My Safety offers four different ways to reach out for help, so you can do so in the way that feels most comfortable:

• Emergency Call: Request a callback from an ADT monitoring agent. If you don't answer, the agent will share your location with emergency services and stay on the case until it's resolved, providing support even if you can't respond.
• Emergency Text: Start a discreet two-way SMS conversation with an ADT agent. If the conversation stops and the agent can't reach you, they will share your location with emergency services. It's a quiet way to get help while still being actively monitored.
• Emergency Phrase: When you can't pick up your phone, a preset phrase lets you trigger a call for help hands-free. Saying the phrase prompts the app to alert an ADT monitoring agent, who then requests emergency services. If the phrase is said by accident, you have the option to cancel the alarm.
• Safety Timer: When going into an uncertain situation, you can set a safety timer. When the timer ends, an ADT agent will attempt to contact you; if they can't reach you, they will share your location with emergency services. It's a proactive safeguard that gives you reassurance before anything even happens.

"When an agent gets an alert, we have your location and we know why you're requesting help," said Shantanu Rangnekar, ADT Senior Director of Product Management. "At that point, the agent will either reassure you or escalate and call emergency services to your location."

My Safety is available now in the ADT+ app to all professionally monitored ADT customers with the ADT+ Security System, at no additional charge. Without a separate app to manage or an additional platform to learn, the tool is easily accessible when customers want added peace of mind outside the home.
