Greensboro Teen Faces Felony Assault and Gun Charges

GREENSBORO, NC (March 27, 2026) - A Greensboro teenager remains in the Guilford County Jail without bond today on multiple felony assault and gun charges.

Tivharyi Jefferson, 18, was arrested by Greensboro Police and charged in connection with an incident involving shots fired into an occupied residence on Jan. 24 at approximately 1:55 a.m. on Franklinwood Drive. This arrest is the result of collaborative work by the police department's Crime Gun Intelligence Center, Violent Crime Reduction Team, and Violent Criminal Apprehension Team.

In the incident in January, Jefferson faces the following charges:

  • Three counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill
  • Discharge of a weapon into occupied property
  • Felony conspiracy
  • Discharge of a firearm in the city
  • Injury to personal property

Jefferson was also charged in a separate incident that occurred March 1 involving shots fired into an occupied residence on John Dimrey Drive:

  • Six counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill
  • Discharge of a weapon into occupied property
  • Felony conspiracy
  • Discharge of a firearm in the city

In other incidents, Jefferson is charged with the following:

  • Possession of a stolen firearm (offense date 3/25/2026)
  • Possession of a weapon of mass destruction (offense date 3/16/2026)
  • Carrying concealed gun (offense date 3/3/2026)
  • Speeding (offense date 3/3/3036)
