Fairouz Maayah is a UC Blue Ash College alumna who is using her education, skills, and hands-on experience to launch her career with Ernst & Young (EY), one of the world's largest professional services firms, where she works with businesses from around the globe.

EY serves clients across more than 150 countries with assurance, consulting, strategy, and tax services. Before accepting a full-time position, Maayah interned with EY, working on client engagements and learning from experienced professionals. The opportunity not only strengthened her technical knowledge but also helped her build meaningful relationships with mentors and colleagues, leading to a full-time offer once she graduated in December 2025 from UC's Lindner College of Business with a bachelor's degree in business analytics.

Reflecting on her excitement about receiving the job offer from EY, Maayah shared, "It was incredibly rewarding to see four years of hard work and dedication pay off." Today, as a Value Added Tax (VAT) Staff member in EY's Chicago office, she works with international clients to help navigate tax regulations while supporting compliance and reporting requirements.

While Maayah earned the EY internship as a student at UC's Lindner College of Business, she credits her time at UC Blue Ash with creating the foundation for her future accomplishments.

UC Blue Ash played a significant role in preparing me for my professional career.

Fai Maayah graduated from the UC Lindner College of Business in 2025.

Looking to make the most of her time at UC Blue Ash, Maayah immersed herself in campus leadership and professional experiences. She helped welcome new students during orientation, joined the Student Ambassador program, and took on leadership roles within business-focused student organizations. She also served as a communications intern with the college's Marketing & Communications Office where she helped manage social media pages, developed content, and assisted with campus events.

Maayah's campus involvement was an important addition to her coursework in business, marketing, and analytics that provided the education and skills she uses in her new role. The encouragement she received from faculty and staff was also critical in helping prepare her for success after graduation, reinforcing the confidence and knowledge she gained through her college experience.

As she begins her career, Maayah adds "I want to continue challenging myself, embracing new opportunities and growing both professionally and personally." Her journey from UC Blue Ash to the Lindner College of Business to a global company like EY demonstrates how a high-quality education, leadership experiences, and internships can prepare students to make an immediate impact as they walk across the stage for their diploma and take their next step into an exciting career.
