Hundreds of PTA Leaders Convene in Pittsburgh for 2026 National PTA Convention

Convention to feature remarks from weather and feature anchor of NBC News' TODAY Al Roker and
2026 National Teacher of the Year Leon Smith

WHAT:
Hundreds of PTA leaders, educators and child advocates from across the country will gather at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center for the 2026 National PTA Convention. During the conference, attendees will hear from noteworthy speakers; sharpen their skills in workshops and trainings; and discuss key issues impacting children, families, schools and communities.

Scheduled speakers:

  • Al Roker, weather and feature anchor of NBC News' TODAY
  • Leon Smith, 2026 National Teacher of the Year

The Convention will also feature a book drive to put books in the hands of students at Title I and high-needs schools in Pittsburgh.
