ERIA President Welcomes ADBI Dean-Elect for Courtesy Visit

Jakarta, 18 March 2025: ERIA President Tetsuya Watanabe welcomed Professor Bambang Brodjonegoro, the newly elected Dean of the Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI), for a courtesy visit.

During their meeting, they explored opportunities to strengthen collaboration between ERIA and ADBI, reinforcing their longstanding partnership in addressing key policy challenges in ASEAN and East Asia. As leading regional think tanks, both institutions have worked closely on economic development, regional integration, and policy research.

Prof. Brodjonegoro, a distinguished Indonesian economist and policymaker, has been a strong advocate of ERIA's mission. With his extensive experience as Indonesia's Minister of Finance and Minister of National Development Planning, he brings valuable expertise in economic development and regional cooperation to his new role at ADBI.

President Watanabe congratulated Prof. Brodjonegoro on his appointment and expressed confidence in the continued collaboration between ERIA and ADBI to advance the region's economic policy agenda.
