The City of Fort Lauderdale is working with Roadway Design Solutions to prepare designs for the replacement of the SE 7th Street Bridge over Rio Cordova, located east of Cordova Road, in Rio Vista (Bridge No. 865760) to ensure climate resilience and improve safety.
The estimated construction cost is $1.5 million. This project is partially funded by City and federal funds.
Data collection activities including surveying, geotechnical analysis and waterway inspections were completed in October 2023. Design plans were presented to the community in April 2024 and updated plans are now 60% ready.
Construction is scheduled to begin in fall 2027 and is expected to be completed in late 2030. This schedule is subject to change based on inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

The estimated construction cost is $13.8 million. This project is partially funded by City and federal funds.
Data collection activities including surveying, geotechnical analysis and waterway inspections were completed in October 2023. Design plans were presented to the community in April 2024 and updated plans are now 60% ready.

This project is partially funded by state & federal funds. Data collection activities including surveying, geotechnical analysis and waterway inspections will begin on Monday, July 31, 2023, and are expected to be completed in October 2023. Work will take place Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Upcoming Phases: Design (Oct. 2023-Oct. 2024) and Construction (Oct. 2024-Oct. 2025). This schedule is subject to change based on inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
