Schweizer to Host RX Drop Offs in Savoy and Rantoul

October 14, 2025

DANVILLE, IL… State Representative Brandun Schweizer (R-Danville) is announcing two upcoming RX Drop Off Events that he is hosting in Champaign County on Friday, October 24th:

  • The Village of Savoy, City Hall, 611 N. Dunlap Ave., Savoy, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Drop off will take place in the City Hall parking lot.
  • The Rantoul Police Department, 109 E. Grove Ave., Rantoul, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Drop-off will take place in front of the police department, located along Grove Avenue.

"I am happy to co-host RX Drop Offs again and allow constituents a safe place to dispose of unwanted, unused, and expired prescription drugs," said Rep. Schweizer. "I am encouraging all constituents to participate in this event if they need to dispose of medications. By hosting this event, we are working to ensure medications stay off the streets and out of the water supply."

Rep. Schweizer, the Village of Savoy, and the Rantoul Police Department will be collecting your unused, unwanted, and expired prescription drugs and safely disposing of them for FREE. The event is a drive-up event, allowing constituents to remain in their cars. Please place medication in a sealed plastic bag. Brochures on state programs will also be available.

Accepted medications include tablets, capsules, and other solid forms of prescription drugs, as well as patches and vaping devices and cartridges, provided the lithium batteries are removed. Restricted items include liquids, including intravenous solutions, syringes, and needles.

With questions, please contact Rep. Schweizer at (217) 477-0104 or by visiting RepSchweizer.com.
