PGNO Zero Open Defecation (ZOD) Campaign

The Municipality of Valladolid has successfully completed a total of 371 household toilets under the Zero Open Defecation (ZOD) Campaign through the Safe Water Program of the Provincial Government of Negros Occidental.

This campaign is aimed at improving sanitation by providing safe and sanitary toilet facilities, helping prevent waterborne diseases, and safeguarding water sources.

According to PGNO records, 29 additional toilets are currently under construction in the 13 barangays of Valladolid. Once these facilities are completed, the municipality is set to officially achieve Zero Open Defecation (ZOD) status, which is a major public health achievement that ensures all households have access to safe and sanitary toilet facilities.*
