Thailand's creative economy is expanding rapidly, driven by digital technologies such as extended reality (XR), virtual reality (VR), and augmented reality (AR). These tools are opening new pathways for creators to design immersive experiences, build innovative products, and reach global markets.
Yet many digital creators continue to face practical barriers, from limited access to business know-how and sustainable monetization models, to uncertainty around intellectual property rights and ownership in digital spaces.
To respond to these challenges, the UNESCO Digital Creativity Lab will host a multi-day workshop during Bangkok Design Week 2026, offering creators, institutions, and industry partners practical guidance on XR creation, business development, and intellectual property.
The workshop aligns with Thailand's national priorities to strengthen its creative and digital economy, and provides a platform for learning and collaboration across the creative ecosystem.
