Major US indexes edged higher following mixed global economic data.

U.S. stock indexes were mixed, with the Nasdaq-100 rising. Weaker-than-expected U.S. Philly Fed manufacturing data and lower yields aided the rally in Gold futures, which reached a record high of $4,269.60. Silver futures also advanced, rising to $52.89. WTI Crude Oil futures gained about a third of a percent, but copper slipped nearly 1%. The market focus is on a full docket of central bank speakers, including the Bank of England's Catherine Mann, Fed Vice Chair Michael Barr, Fed Governor Christopher Waller, Fed Governor Michelle Bowman, ECB President Christine Lagarde, and Bank of Canada Governor Tiff Macklin. Investors are also preparing for a wave of earnings reports from companies with over $1 billion in market cap, including CSX railroad, Liberty Energy and Interactive Brokers.
