New Stanadyne GX Series Fuel Pumps Built for Elite Street & Race Performance

Stanadyne, a global leader in advanced fuel and air management systems, has released its new GX Series gasoline direct injection (GDI) performance fuel pumps, marking a major evolution of the company's proven high-flow, high-pressure technology for both race and street applications.

Within the GX Series, the RGX "Race Grade Extreme" pump was engineered for professional motorsports applications that operate at or above the cutting-edge 8-millimeter stroke threshold, while the SGX "Street Grade Extreme" pumps were developed for high-output daily-driven vehicles. With both options, tuners can now match a fuel pump's capability with specific power goals and use cases.

With carefully modeled internal flow paths, finite element-validated structures, and an innovative nested return spring system designed to maintain cam follower contact at high stroke and speed, the GX Series is engineered to provide full-flow output at high RPM with minimal drop-off for today's most aggressive performance builds.

Unveiled at the 2025 Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Show in Indianapolis and designed to fit AMG, Ford, BMW, Stellantis, and GM applications, the new Stanadyne GX Series performance line builds directly on the company's Goliath SP2100 pump platform.

"The SP2100 was engineered to meet the performance industry's demand for higher pressure and higher flow in modern GDI engines," said Chris Dye, Aftermarket, Performance, and Specialty Sales Manager for Stanadyne. "The new GX Series delivers the next step forward for both high-performance street vehicles and racing programs."

Unlike modified OE service pumps, Stanadyne's GX Series of fuel pumps were purpose-built to safely deliver extreme flow and pressure while withstanding the substantial loads and stresses seen when modern engine platforms produce significantly more power than stock.

Additionally, Stanadyne's large-plunger GDI architecture has already demonstrated that moving from base pump families to the Goliath-spec 12-millimeter plunger and high-lift design can unlock approximately 50 percent more volume than the SP1250 and roughly 22 percent more than the SP1550 at comparable pressures.

The underlying Goliath technology powering the GX Series has already enabled platforms such as a BMW 340i to achieve more than 800 horsepower and over 760 ft-lbs of torque, a twin-turbo Mercedes M177 LS2 to make 1,000+ wheel horsepower, and a GM LT-based engine to surpass 1,400 horsepower on race fuel. The performance capabilities of Stanadyne's innovative GX Series fuel pumps aren't just projections on paper-they're real-world-validated, dyno-proven results.

The GX pumps debuted as part of Stanadyne's broader performance system strategy to pair high-flow, high-pressure GDI pumps with equally capable injectors to create a fully matched fuel delivery solution for tuners who demand both maximum power and long-term durability.
