On 2 February 2026, H.E. Mr. Vijavat Isarabhakdi, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, met with Congressman Joe Wilson (Republican-South Carolina), Co-chair of the U.S. - Thai Alliance Caucus, U.S. House of Representatives, during his visit to Washington, D.C.

The Vice Foreign Minister expressed appreciation to Congressman Wilson and commended his active role in promoting the multi-faceted Thai - U.S. partnership as well as supporting the activities of the Royal Thai Embassy in Washington, D.C. in his capacity as Co-chair of the U.S. - Thai Alliance Caucus. Congressman Wilson reiterated the importance of the longstanding Thai - U.S. alliance and readiness to support closer cooperation with Thailand on issues of mutual interest.
