The State of Trump’s Health Care Crisis Arrow

Donald Trump and Republicans have created a health care crisis that will kick millions of Americans off their health insurance and hike premiums for millions more.

First, Trump's "One, Big, Beautiful Bill" cut Medicaid by nearly $1 TRILLION - the largest cut in history - and is projected to leave an additional 15 million people uninsured when combined with Trump's inaction on Affordable Care Act premium tax credits.

• Trump's bill also put over 300 rural hospitals at risk of closing, and several hospitals have already shuttered.

Then, Trump and Republicans refused to extend the enhanced ACA tax credits, causing health care premiums to skyrocket by an average of 114% for over 20 million Americans.

• Enrollment in the ACA marketplace has already dropped by 1.3 million enrollees this year and is expected to continue to drop, as enrollees contend with astronomical premiums and deductibles.

Democrats have put forward common-sense proposals to lower health care costs time and again, but instead, Trump unveiled his bogus "Great Healthcare Plan," which won't bring down health care costs or lower drug prices. Trump's own administration has questioned whether his health care plans are "sustainable."

Most Americans say that their top concern is the cost of health care, and a majority of adults say they expect their health care costs to become less affordable in the next year. Nearly 1 in 3 adults say they are "very worried" about health care bills. Americans blame Trump and Republicans by a margin of 26 points for the skyrocketing cost of health care premiums.
