Last week, the contemporary art world turned its attention to Paris. A look back at the exhibitions, collaborations and artistic initiatives presented by the LVMH Maisons that marked these few days.
Guerlain continues its commitment to contemporary creation. Through its exhibitions and support for emerging artists, the Maison explores the connections between art and fragrance while renewing its perspective on the issues shaping our time.
Following En plein cœur, un siècle d'amour sans filtre, which celebrated the centenary of Shalimar in 2025, Guerlain continues its dialogue with contemporary creation through its 19th annual contemporary art exhibition. A partner of Art Basel Paris, Guerlain presents L'Heure des possibles at La Maison Guerlain, 68 Avenue des Champs-Élysées, until November 15, 2026. The exhibition explores another sensory territory: the suspended moment between day and night, when the contours of reality appear to fade. Inspired by the new L'Heure Bleue fragrance, it brings together around thirty international artists under the curatorship of Hervé Mikaeloff and Benoît Baume.
From Christian Boltanski and James Turrell to Rineke Dijkstra, Ugo Rondinone and Marguerite Bornhauser, the works explore the transformations of the image, inner landscapes and the boundaries between the visible and invisible. Photography occupies a central place in this project, which brings different generations and artistic practices into dialogue. Olfactory creations specially conceived by Guerlain Perfumer Delphine Jelk extend the experience beyond sight, inviting visitors to explore the connections between images, emotions and fragrances.
At the same time, Guerlain continues to support emerging creation through the fourth edition of the Art & Environment Prize, organized with Lee Ufan Arles. Selected from more than 750 applications, Livia Melzi was named the 2026 winner by a jury whose patrons included Jessica Morgan, Director of the Dia Art Foundation; Jean-Luc Monterosso, founder of the Maison Européenne de la Photographie; and Pooya Abbasian, winner of the 2025 Art & Environment Prize. She will develop The Proxy Collection, a project devoted to ancient remains submerged in the Rhône, during a residency followed by an exhibition in Arles in summer 2027.
