When: Saturday, June 7, 2025 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Where: San José Animal Care Center 2750 Monterey Rd., San José, CA 95111 Background: The San José Animal Care Center is participating in the annual California Adopt-a-Pet Day. Fees on all pets will be waived on Saturday, June 7. Adopters will receive gift bags with toys and treats. In addition, there will be: Kid stations to make enrichment toys for the shelter animals; 3 p.m. & 4 p.m. Hands on Foster Kitten 101 training; San José Public Library - Seven Trees and Edenvale library branch resource tables; Large dog playgroups; and Shelter tours. Approximately, 150 California animal shelters are participating and are offering fee-waived adoptions, most covered by the ASPCA, with the goal to find loving homes for 5,000 pets. ###
