10/31/2025 - Nighttime Work Continuing through December

Building a Safer Street for Everyone
Ongoing Nighttime Work

Crews will continue working at night to install a new watermain as part of the Fones Road Corridor project. Nighttime work hours are from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday through Thursday. This work is now expected to continue through December. Crews will set traffic signals to flash mode while working near the intersection of Pacific Avenue SE and Fones Road SE. Uniformed police officers will direct traffic during this work. Traffic signals will return to normal operation each morning.

Use Alternate Routes
While one lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction on Fones Road,it is highly recommended that drivers use alternate routes. This will help ensure the safety of work crews and people who live or work on Fones Road. If you must use Fones Road, please drive slowly.
