OpenSecrets wins Webby Award and People’s Voice Award for best website in Government & Associations category

The nation’s premier research organization tracking money in U.S. politics recognized for internet excellence at the 30th Annual Webby Awards.

WASHINGTON, D.C.OpenSecrets, the nation’s premier nonpartisan research organization tracking money in U.S. politics, is thrilled to announce that it has won the Webby Award for best website in the Government & Associations category in the 30th Annual Webby Awards Internet Celebration. Hailed as the “Internet’s highest honor” by The New York Times, The Webby Awards, presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, is the leading international awards organization honoring excellence on the Internet.

This marks the fourth time OpenSecrets has won a Webby Award.

The Webby Award Winners are selected by a judging body of Internet industry experts, including Joanne Jang (General Manager, OpenAI Labs), Tekedra Mawakana (Co-Chief Executive Officer, Waymo), Walton Goggins (Actor and Filmmaker), Kim Larson (Global Managing Director & Head of Creators, YouTube), Bob Carrigan (CEO, Audible), Kinney Edwards (Global Head of Creative Lab, TikTok), Manuel “Manolo” Arroyo (EVP & Global Chief Marketing Officer, The Coca-Cola Company), Alex Schultz (VP Analytics & Chief Marketing Officer, Meta), Tiffany Rolfe (Chair & Global Chief Creative Officer, R/GA), Todd Kaplan (Chief Marketing Officer, Kraft Heinz), Paris Hilton (Creator), Garry Tan (President & Chief Executive Officer, Y Combinator), Tyler Bahl (Chief Marketing Officer, Activision), and Paula Kerger (President & CEO, PBS).

In addition, OpenSecrets won the People’s Voice Award in the same category. The People’s Voice Awards are decided by the public, with voters selecting the top performer in each category. The Government & Associations category – which honors sites providing information and services pertaining to associations, non-government or government organizations – showcases platforms that enable online citizen action, offer self-help information, publish documents and forms, and provide access to services.
