ACL Announces 2026 National Paralysis Resource Center Grant Recipient

ACL is pleased to announce the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation as the recipient of the 2026 National Paralysis Resource Center (NPRC) grant. The Foundation will receive $10 million annually for a three-year project period, August 1, 2026, through July 31, 2029, to operate the NPRC.

The NPRC provides people living with paralysis, their families, caregivers, service providers, and community organizations with information, resources, and support to promote health, independence, and community participation. Services include information and referral, peer and family support, training and technical assistance, outreach to veterans and underserved communities, online resources, and competitive Quality of Life grants.

Under the new award, the NPRC will focus on:

• Increasing access to reliable information and support
• Strengthening self-advocacy and informed decision-making
• Reducing barriers to community living
• Expanding outreach to underserved populations
• Improving performance measurement

"The National Paralysis Resource Center provides people living with paralysis and their families practical support, information, and outreach while also strengthening local communities and organizations," said Rebecca Hines, Ph.D., Commissioner of ACL's Administration on Disabilities. "I especially appreciate the Quality of Life grants they award to support local initiatives that foster community engagement, accessibility, independent living, and health and wellness for individuals living with paralysis and their caregivers."
