Two Alarms - Box 2-297

On the morning of June 10, 2025, 2-alarms were ordered for the fire at 89 & 91 Lincoln St, a large, 3-story, wood-frame, 8-unit, residential building in a very congested neighborhood, with potential exposure problems. First arriving companies aggressively established water supplies, stretched lines, laddered the building, opened up, & completed searches for occupants.


The fire, originally in a void space between the 2nd & 3rd floors, was quickly contained & knocked down.

During the search for residents, firefighters rescued 3 cats & 1 dog. These were left in the care of Cambridge Animal Control, with an assist from Cambridge Police Department& Pro EMS.

Approximately 16 residents were displaced by the fire. No injuries were reported. The cause & origin will be under investigation.

Approx 55 firefighters from 6 engines, 4 ladders, 3 squads, and the Resuce worked at the fire. Engines 6 & 9 stood by as fire detail relief companies.
