On October 20, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Hellenic Republic, Tigran Mkrtchyan, met with the President of the Greek National Tourism Organization, Angela Varela.
The Ambassador emphasized the importance of the participation of a representative from Greece in the World Tourism Communication Forum, to be held in Yerevan on October 22-25. The meeting focused on opportunities to further develop tourism ties between Armenia and Greece. Ambassador Mkrtchyan presented his vision for enhancing Armenia's tourism appeal in Greece. The two sides agreed to work jointly in this direction.
Angela Varela noted that in developing Armenia's tourism programs, it would be advisable to also consult specialists from the European Union in the fields of tourism and environmental protection, particularly regarding infrastructure development and legislative improvements.
Ambassador Mkrtchyan presented the advantages of several key tourism destinations in Armenia to the Greek official.
