The City of Greensboro is working with Guilford County and other local jurisdictions and community partners to update the County's Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan. The plan identifies and assesses the region's hazard risks for natural disasters and identifies strategies to minimize or manage those risks.
All Guilford County residents, including those living within city limits, are invited to participate in the Hazard Mitigation Plan 2025 Survey to share their input and contribute to the planning effort. The survey and project website are available online at guilfordcountync.gov/MitigationSurvey through Sunday, Aug. 31. The survey is available in English, Spanish, French, Khmer, Swahili, and Simplified Chinese.
In addition to completing the survey, residents are encouraged to attend one of the upcoming public meetings to discuss the Hazard Mitigation Plan update. Each meeting will be held in person, with an option for residents to participate virtually.
