Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Southcentral Regional Land Office has received an application for the following:

APPLICANT: NO SEE UM LODGE INC

PROJECT NAME: LAS 33530

GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: Located in southwestern Alaska within the Kvichak River, approximately five miles southwest of the confluence of Ben Courtny Creek, 19 miles northeast of the confluence with the Alagnak River. One dock is on the southwest bank of Kvichak River, the other is on the northeast bank.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION: SE1/4 NE1/4 of Section 22 and SW1/4 NW1/4 of Section 23 Township 11 South, Range 43 West, Seward Meridian

REQUESTED ACTIVITY:
Applicant No See Um Lodge is requesting an amendment to a 5-year land use permit for the seasonal placement of an additional floating dock within the state-owned waters and submerged lands of the Kvichak River in support of commercial lodge operations. The newly requested cross-river wooden dock is secured by two anchors and two inboard lines to screw eyes below the high-water line and has dimensions of 110-feet by 8-feet with no connection to the shoreline. The dock will be used only during windstorms. The existing dock in front of the lodge will remain the same. The docks will be in place during the months of June through September.

PROPOSED DATES OF USE:
Start: June 1, 2026
End: May 31, 2031

DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: April 23, 2026

The public is invited to comment on this activity. The purpose of this notice is to gather input before a decision is made on this activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at the Southcentral Regional Land Office, 550 W. 7th Ave., Suite 900C, Anchorage, AK 99501-3577 on or before 5:00 PM on the date noted above.
