Washington, D.C. - United States Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), Ranking Member of the Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee, released the following statement:
"Donald Trump's failed economic agenda is making life more expensive for families and eroding paychecks. Today's data shows Americans paid more for gas, food, and health care in August, as Trump's illegal war in Iran is sending energy prices soaring. And Trump's inflation is sending Treasury yields to their highest levels in more than two decades - which means higher mortgage rates and more expensive borrowing for families already stretched thin. Americans are paying more for everything, and Trump is too busy calling an affordability crisis of his own making a 'hoax' to do anything about it."
