Over two productive days in Geneva, IGTC members and stakeholders came together for critical discussions and decisions aimed at advancing the Coalition's mission and addressing global grain trade challenges.
On Thursday, IGTC co-hosted a side event as part of the WTO's SPS Week in collaboration with the United States, Canada, and Australia. Titled "Navigating Challenges in International Grain Trade: Sustainability, Innovation, and Policy," the seminar featured engaging discussions on pressing global challenges and opportunities for innovative solutions.
Friday began with an insightful Q&A session with Dmitry Grozoubinski, CEO of Geneva Trade Platform, who provided valuable perspectives on the WTO's work and ongoing negotiations. This was followed by dynamic discussions led by Krista Thomas on IGTC's future direction and value, with active contributions from members and stakeholders.
During the IGTC General Assembly, participants reviewed key policies and reorganized the policy teams into three newly-formed working groups focused on Electronic Documentation, International Trade, and Non-Tariff Barriers.
A notable outcome of IGTC's highest decision-making body, was the election of new Officers and Management Council Members. We are delighted to introduce the incoming Leadership:
We extend our sincere gratitude to the outgoing leadership for their dedication and service to the Coalition.
These two days demonstrated the unwavering commitment, collaboration, and shared vision of IGTC's members and partners.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of this pivotal event, ensuring a strong foundation for IGTC's future!
