Severe storms and hail caused significant damage in Southern Wisconsin, prompting response from American Family Insurance that includes drive-in site for inspections.
American Family Insurance is assisting customers in Wisconsin who were affected by severe thunderstorms and hail that swept through Southern Wisconsin on Friday morning, April 18. The storms caused extensive damage to vehicles and structures across multiple counties, with hailstones ranging in size from peas to tennis balls.
In response, American Family's claims team has mobilized to assist affected customers. Field adjusters specializing in catastrophes are supporting local claims employees to contact customers and organize inspections. The number of claims is expected to rise as the company serves those affected by the storms.
Starting Sunday, April 19, a mobile claims site will be set up at Piggly Wiggly, 8 North County Road M, Evansville, Wisconsin. This location will also be utilized for an auto drive-in, where customers can have their damaged vehicles inspected and receive payments for damages. These drive-in inspections are by appointment only and cannot accommodate drop-in customers.
Report claims immediately
Customers who have experienced storm damage should contact their agency owners immediately to start their claim. Additionally, digital loss reporting is available 24/7 through the company's Claims Customer Care Center. American Family Insurance customers can report claims in several ways:
