COLUMBUS, Ohio - In celebration of America's 250th anniversary, the Ohio Department of Commerce announces a series of special events specifically tied to its work as the state's chief regulatory agency. These events, activities and initiatives are designed to engage, inform, and educate Ohioans about the role and impact the agency plays every day, especially as it relates to the industries that Commerce oversees and regulates to keep Ohioans safe.
The below events highlight Ohio's history, culture, and contributions to the nation, through the eyes of the Ohio Department of Commerce. We invite all Ohioans to explore these opportunities to take part in this once in a generation milestone. Additional information on planned and future events is available at com.ohio.gov/America250.
"America's 250th anniversary gives us a meaningful opportunity to reflect on the industries that helped shape our state and the essential role Commerce continues to play in safeguarding them," said Director Sherry Maxfield. "These events shine a spotlight not only on Ohio's rich history, but on the work we do every day to protect what matters most, ensuring safe, fair, and thriving communities for all Ohioans."
