On 13 August 2026, Mrs. Eksiri Pintaruchi, Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, met with H.E. Mr. Puneet Agrawal, Ambassador of the Republic of India to Thailand, on the occasion of the ambassador's assumption of duty.

Both sides discussed ways to further strengthen relations between Thailand and India, particularly in trade and investment, and exchanges of high-level visits.

They also exchanged views on issues of common interest at the bilateral and multilateral levels, particularly developments in the Indo-Pacific region and ways to promote tangible cooperation within the Global South framework. Both sides reaffirmed their readiness to work closely together to advance mutually beneficial areas of cooperation and further strengthen the Thailand - India Strategic Partnership.
